Teaching for Week July 21st

Give us your thoughts on this weeks Prayer Champion's training room study of the prayers of

  • Daniel's Prayer for Revival and Restoration Dan 9
  • Nehemiah's Prayer for Revival and Restoration Neh 1, Neh 2:1
  • Ezra's prayer for the people's sins Ezra 9

Do you see similarities? What is the Lord revealing to us about our own world today and how we should be praying? What do these say to you personally? I will give you my thoughts about all three throughout the week, will you please do the same.
Lord please open our hearts and minds to your teaching, so that we may be great intercessors for you Kingdom-Ian

Thanks for these passages. The addition of Daniel and Ezra to my recent reading of Nehemiah is very helpful. It is particularly insightful to be reminded of how they prayed, and how much of their prayer involved confession. Have a powerfully blessed day!

I am a sinner, I have sinned greatly against my God and I deserve hell and damnation. Today I am a sinner saved through the grace and mercy of God and the sacrifice of His Son Jesus the Christ.

Daniel, Ezra and Nehemiah confessed their sins and the sins of their "fathers" and their nation. They humbled
themselves...they came to the end of themselves; they turned to the Great and Awesome God. It is interesting to consider this in the context of our day.

Are we confessing sin today? Our own, the sins of our fathers and the sins of our nation!

The bible is clear about revival, humbling ourselves and praying (turning to God) is the key...I would suggest that there is very little humility and confession of sins happening in the North American church today.

The other interesting thing to me is that these three guys were all God's men...in other words they were on side with God and yet they confessed their sins, they didn't prayer "Lord help all the sinners around me see their sin and turn from their wicked ways"...instead they said that they had sinned...

Again, interesting in the context of the today.

Thanks David for your comments and lets join together in prayer that confession will start with us, and so to revival...God's blessing Ian
